Ruth Trelles, 85, of Brooklyn NY, succumbed to the corona virus in the comfort of Lutheran Medical Center surrounded by family on April 13, 2021
She was born to parents Rafael Andrade and Mercedes Parrales, on November 5, 1936 in Guayaquil Ecuador.
She married the late Juan Trelles in 1955, and they lived together in Brooklyn for over 40 years. Ruth is survived by sons Johnny, Jordy, & Henry. Daughters Betty, Patricia, Maritza, Marjorie, Carol and many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, daughter in laws, son in laws and extended family. Ruth was a loving mother, wife, grandmother and great grandmother.
Ruth was the matriarch of this family; she held it all together for us. In 1967 she decided to follow her husband Juan to the United States. Leaving behind her seven children with great sorrow but, knowing she would be back for them. In October 1974 she kept her promise and went back for her children. Once back in the United States, she began to live the American dream and became a stay at home mom while her husband Juan worked to support the family. She had the privilege to enjoy life with her children, and years later her grandchildren and great grandchildren who loved her dearly and called her not grandma but Mami Ruth. We’ll miss her phone calls saying “where are you come by the house I have some food for you.” We will miss your daily phone calls your voice on the other side of the phone. We love you and will never forget you Ruth trelles/Mami Ruth.
