Rosemarie Grotyohann passed away peacefully the morning of Monday, January 11th, 2021 after a long and hard fight with many illnesses.
Rosemarie was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. , to her parents Hubert Padden and Gabriella Santangelo on December 16th, 1940. She was 2nd of 10 children. She cared for and helped raise her sisters who she loved and adored.
Rosemarie married Herbert Grotyohann in 1957. Rosemarie was a homemaker and stayed home to raise her 2 sons. She dedicated her life into raising her pride and joy.
Rosemarie had the largest heart of gold, and would give someone the shirt off her back. She remembered everyone's birthdays, anniversaries and every special occasion. No matter her own situation, she would always ask how someone else was. Rosemarie loved Bingo , May I and most of all her family. When any of the kids came over she would have this huge smile and be so grateful. Rosemarie was more than a Grandma to her her grandchildren. She definitely was the best!
She will be missed by sons Herbert and David; grandchildren, Irene (Chris), Michael (Jeri) and Deanna (Sean); great-grandchildren, Michael Jr., Gabriel, Kloe, Kaeli, and Kelsi; siblings Dolores, Geraldine (Jorge), Joann - Cookie , Hubert (Ilene)and Linda Lou,brother in law James. She left behind 100's of neices and nephews.
Rose was predeceased by her husband Herbert , parents Hubert and Gabriella; and baby sisters Mary, Barbara, Gay-Ann and Patricia, as well as her "boys".
I hope you're dancing in the sky
And I hope you're singing in the angel's choir
And I hope the angels know what they have
I'll bet it's so nice up in heaven since you arrived!
The Broken Chain
We little knew the day that
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn’t go alone.
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories.
Your love is still our guide,
And though we cannot see you
You are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken
and nothing seems the same,
but as God calls us one by one
the chain will link again.
