Juan Trelles, 86, of Brooklyn NY, succumbed to the
corona virus at the comfort of Lutheran Medical
Center hospital surrounded by family on April 6, 2021
He was born to parents Meliton Trelles and Maria
Salazar Idrovo, on May 6, 1934 in Milagros, Ecuador.
In 1955 he married Ruth Andrade, the love of his life,
who survives him. Juan is also survived by sons
Johnny, Jordy & Henry, Daughters Betty, Patricia,
Maritza, Marjorie & Carol and many loving
grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews,
daughter in laws, son in laws and extended family.
Juan was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and
friend to everyone.
Juan was the rock and the foundation of the Trelles
family. In 1967 he came to America with his beloved
wife Ruth and his eldest son Johnny. He made the
sacrifice of leaving behind his seven other children by
migrating to America to provide the American dream.
On October 1974 his dream finally came true he was
able to reunite his family. He was blessed to have the
opportunity to see his children prosper and succeed in
life which is what he always wanted. He didn’t have it
easy because some of us were mischievous, but we
all made him proud. He had the privilege to enjoy life
with his grandchildren and great grandchildren who
loved him dearly and called him not grandpa but Papi
Juan. We will miss his words when we visited, que me
trajiste, hace frio and his most famous saying, hay carajo.
Those words will last an eternity.
We love you and will never forget you Juan Trelles/Papi Juan.
