Obituary

Crisino Cupertino Vergara, passed away on August 5, 2020.  “Spiderman” as he would enjoy being called has spun his last web, taking his biggest leap in reuniting with family and friends he has not seen in a long time.

An authoritative man who served in the Mexican Army and later served in the Mexican police force.  A man of true grind, he came to the United States with an explosive desire to take a bite of the apple. He worked in a clothing factory for sometime until he finally ventured out to achieve his monetary goals, Whether it was driving dollar cabs in Coney Island, promoting Mexican bands, and establishing his own car service business that he appropriately named “Castle,” he became a landlord and a bar owner. He would of done it all if he could. He just needed more time, as he would say because he had so much more to accomplish. He was always planning his next move.

He had a life-long affair of finding ways to be better off than he was yesterday.  Ambitious, an analyzer, perfectionist, industrious, responsible, stubborn, an adventurous spirit, on occasion short-tempered, a tad impatient, generous, and humorous, an attractive man with a strong demeanor that didn’t take fashion cues or advice from just anyone, husband, loving father and brother, the man with the million-dollar smile will now flash his smile in heaven.

“A dream that did come true, a colt that no one tamed, just the years. “

A man with a strong fighting spirit, a larger than life person, an always-striving man who will be held close in our hearts, mind and spirit

He is survived by his wife Elena Vergara, his daughters, Fanny Vergara and husband Luis Enrique Rojas, Norma and husband Joseph Rivera, Elena Vergara jr and partner Charles Lyons, his grandchildren Jaliela and Joseph Rivera Jr., his siblings Ana, Dominga, Alejandra, Rafaela, Maria De Jesus, Marcy, Emmy, Guadalupe, Melecio, and his other children Christina and Mercedes Antolin, and a son Axel M_.
