Michael Chechilo

December 24, 1992 ~ November 7, 2018 (age 25)

Michael Chechilo of Palm Coast, Fl - passed away from an accidental drug overdose on November 7, 2018. At only twenty-five years old, he was his mother’s precious boy and inherited her heart of gold.

As a kid Michael was full of life, love and happiness. He excelled at drawing and loved WWE, video games and music. You'd often find him watching movies, especially Batman, Spiderman or anything DC and Marvel comic related. He was a talented soccer player and in his birthplace of Ephrata, PA he was on his way to scholarships and maybe someday becoming a pro-soccer player. His big smile and laughter would fill up any room he entered.

The past several years had been extremely difficult for Michael. Having watched his mother lose her battle with cancer and shortly after, losing his father too, Michael turned to drugs as a coping mechanism to ease the pain he endured losing both parents.

Unfortunately, Michael never admitted to having a problem with drug addiction and sadly, his laughter was taken from the world way too soon. Instead of realizing his worth and acknowledging the beautiful life he was capable of living, he became reckless and chose his addiction over everything. As he leaves this world, we hope his death will make someone else think twice before using and the devastation they will cause by succumbing to their addiction.

Michael's story shouldn't have ended this way . The only solace his family finds is knowing his demons are finally laid to rest and he is eternally at peace in the loving embrace of his beloved parents.

Michael is survived by his sister Christina Chechilo Fresse, his brother-in-law Orlando Fresse, his niece Sophia and nephew Matthew. He also is outlived by his Grandfather Jack and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
