Elisabeth Sudfeld (née Robitsek) was the sole survivor of her family after her mother, Maria and sister, Iren died in her arms in Bergen-Belsen. During the 1956 Hungarian Revolution, she fled Hungary with her beloved husband Alex, who predeceased her. They created a happy and contented life in the United States through hard work and devotion. She was a deeply cherished aunt, grand-aunt, and substitute aunt to many younger members of the family. Remembering her will warm the hearts of all who knew her, including Perla Bendigo, Gail Cohen, and others who devotedly cared for her during her final illness.
Donations in her memory may be made to Selfhelp Community Holocaust Survivor Program, Attn: Roni Miller, 620 Fort Washington Avenue New York, NY 10040.
