Jeffrey was a life-long resident of New York and loved the neighboods and culture of Manhattan to the fullest. He was a true gentleman who was smart, kind, unselfish, patient, and loyal, with a great sense of humor. Jeff was loyal to his friends and family. For the last several decades he battled several life threatening illnesses, including Parkinsons. Jeff was a testament to what it means to be courageous and brave, never complaining about his suffering. He was an exceptional teacher at the prestigious Bronx Science High School where he taught biology and genetics. Before he became sick, he was an accomplished tennis player and when he could no longer play, he loved watching tennis on TV. He is pre-deceased by his loving companions, Buff and Chippy. Jeff will be forever in our hearts and will always be remembered. Jeff is much loved by his sister, Barbara, brother-in-law Jack (who he thought of as a brother), niece Melanie (Jeff was a friend as well as an uncle, and Matthew. Jeffrey said "I have no regrets. All in all I had a productive life. I'm very content with what I achieved in my lifetime. Life can be wonderful". We wish him peace. Love up to the sky, Jeff.
